  • Hotel Rialto – about a 15 minute walk from the Warsaw Train station. This Art Deco renovation is beautiful, comfortable and very affordable

Golabki (Stuffed cabbage, pronounced guempkey), Bigos (stew of cabbage and meat), Polish Goulash (meat stew), herring in cream sauce, really good picklesborschtkielbasahampierogies (dumplings filled with meat and vegetables), lots of roast pork, roast chickenbeef and cod fish and really great Zywiec beer.

  • For good Polish food, direct yourself to the Chlopskie restaurant.
  • Cafe Blikle on the Nowy Swiat (try the paczki (polish donuts). It’s been there since 1869 and still the best.
